HARMONYCA®
HarmonyCa® is an innovative dual-effect treatment designed to address volume loss and skin quality in one go. If you’re noticing sagging skin, reduced definition in the cheeks or jawline, or dullness, HarmonyCa® may be the ideal solution.
This hybrid injectable combines hyaluronic acid (HA) with calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) - two powerful ingredients used in aesthetics. The HA delivers an instant lifting effect and subtle volume restoration, while the CaHA microspheres stimulate your body’s natural collagen production over time, improving skin firmness and elasticity.
The HarmonyCa® treatment typically takes 30-45 minutes and is carried out in a comfortable, clinical setting by one of our trained aesthetic practitioners. To ensure a more comfortable experience, a topical anaesthetic is applied to the skin beforehand, and the product itself also contains a small amount of lidocaine, a local anaesthetic that helps to minimise discomfort during the procedure.
Once the skin is cleansed and numbed, the practitioner uses a fine needle to carefully inject HarmonyCa® into the mid to lower face, targeting areas such as the cheeks, jawline, and nasolabial folds - common zones where volume loss and sagging tend to occur. The injections are strategically placed in the deep dermis or subdermal layer, using advanced techniques to ensure even distribution and a natural-looking result.
Typically, just one HarmonyCa® treatment session is needed to achieve results. However, a follow-up session after 6-12 months may be recommended for maintenance, depending on your skin’s response and aesthetic goals. Your practitioner will tailor a plan during your consultation.
Results appear in two phases: immediate lift and contouring from the HA, followed by gradual skin tightening and texture improvement as new collagen forms over the following 6-12 weeks. Effects can last up to 18 months, depending on individual skin response and lifestyle.

FAQ
Am I suitable for HarmonyCa®?
HarmonyCa® is often found to be ideal for adults experiencing mild to moderate volume loss, skin laxity, or reduced facial definition, particularly in the mid and lower face. It may suit those seeking natural-looking lift and collagen stimulation without invasive surgery. Ambra Clinic typically looks for patients who are in good general health and not pregnant or breastfeeding. Suitability is always confirmed during a personalised consultation, where your medical history, skin condition, and aesthetic goals will be assessed to help ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you.
Is HarmonyCa® safe?
HarmonyCa® is considered safe when administered by a qualified practitioner. It’s a CE-marked, medically regulated product that combines hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxyapatite - both widely used and clinically studied substances in aesthetic medicine. As with any injectable treatment, safety depends on correct technique, proper patient selection, and adherence to hygiene standards. At Ambra Clinic, treatments are carried out in a controlled, sterile environment by trained professionals to minimise any risk.
Is the treatment process painful?
Most patients find the procedure very tolerable. HarmonyCa® contains lidocaine, a local anaesthetic, to reduce discomfort during injection. Additionally, a topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to ensure your comfort throughout the session. You may feel a slight pressure or stinging sensation during the injections, but it is generally mild and short-lived. Our practitioners use gentle techniques and fine needles to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
Are there any side effects or risks associated with HarmonyCa®?
As with most injectable treatments, minor side effects can occur. These may include swelling, redness, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site, typically resolving within a few days. Uncommon risks include infection, allergic reaction, or lump formation. These are infrequent and significantly reduced when the treatment is performed by an experienced practitioner. A full discussion of risks, along with aftercare advice, will be provided during your consultation.
How much downtime can I expect?
HarmonyCa® often requires minimal downtime. Most patients return to work or daily activities immediately after treatment. Some temporary side effects like mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness may occur, especially around the injection sites, but these usually subside within 2-5 days. You may be advised to avoid intense exercise, heat exposure, and alcohol for 24 hours post-treatment. Following the recommended aftercare helps minimise downtime and supports optimal healing.
